Behind the hoops
Lorna Reid of Threid Stitches is a contemporary embroidery artist who creates hand stitched hoops and art from her home studio in Aberdeenshire in the North East of Scotland.
Lorna’s artistic style has been described as an abstract and completely unique view that captures Scotland’s natural landscapes, beauty and our rich heritage.
Lorna’s handmade embroidery art is inspired by Scotland’s vibrant and lush terrain and through varying thread and yarn texture with bold colours, she creates impactful three-dimensional works of art that gives a one of a kind look at our landscape.
